Vanessa Stockard was born in Sydney, Australia in 1975, and she continues to live and work there. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the College of Fine Arts in Sydney, Australia in 1998. Since the launch of her career shortly after graduation, her work has been exhibited in Hong Kong, Los Angeles, New York City, amongst many other cities.
