MUSEUM Inhotim Centro de Arte Contemporânea
Inhotim Centro de Arte Contemporânea, often simply referred to as Inhotim, is a unique and expansive outdoor art center and botanical garden located in Brumadinho, Minas Gerais, Brazil. It was founded by the Brazilian mining magnate Bernardo Paz in 2006, with the aim of creating a space where contemporary art and nature coexist harmoniously.

Spread over an area of approximately 5,000 acres, Inhotim is one of the largest open-air art museums in the world. Its vast and meticulously landscaped gardens are home to thousands of species of plants, including rare tropical and subtropical species, creating a lush backdrop for the art installations and sculptures. The botanical garden is not only a space for the appreciation of flora from around the world but also functions as a research center for conservation and environmental education.

The art collection at Inhotim includes works by renowned Brazilian and international artists. The museum features a series of pavilions and galleries, some of which are dedicated to single artists, allowing for an immersive and in-depth experience of their work. These installations often interact with their natural surroundings, making visits to Inhotim a unique blend of art appreciation and nature exploration.

Inhotim's vision extends beyond art and nature to include educational and social initiatives, aiming to foster cultural development and environmental awareness among its visitors and the local community. Its innovative approach to displaying contemporary art, its commitment to conservation, and its role as a cultural hub make Inhotim a significant institution in the art world and a must-visit destination for art lovers and nature enthusiasts alike.
